For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Happy Birthday Garrett!

It's G-BABY Live!! He is already in the chef business at age 3. ...and a socialite at the age of 11.
Happy 11th Birthday to my "big" boy! He is growing into such a fine young man. He has a beautiful, giving spirit and a tender, loving heart. He has been known to give the shirt off his back, the very last cookie in the jar, his last penny to others. He knows no strangers and makes friends with anyone he meets. Garrett is most definitely the "socialite" in our family. I often think of his first tball game and how he stood on first base, with the ball at his feet, asking the player, "Whase your name? My name is Gawwett.". He definitely loves to talk and will defend his ideas to his last breath. He will defend anything he sees as an injustice no matter who the person involved. He is devoted to the Lord, loves to learn, and loves to share Jesus with all he meets.
He tells us that he wants to be a "famous" chef some day and expresses interest in going to a culinary school. Look out Food Network... here comes Garrett. We are enjoying watching him grow and are blessed to be called his parents. We know that the Lord has great plans for him.

Four Years Ago...

I am slightly behind in getting this posted, but I didn't want to forget... I can never forget...

On April 4, 2006, a beautiful baby girl was placed in my arms. She was everything that I had dreamed and more. You see, I fell in love with her long before I ever met her. God spoke quite distinctly to my heart. I knew just from reading the words "a sixteen month old little girl" that she was our daughter, the little girl that I had pictured so many times in my mind. During our "long" wait, we were blessed with many pictures of this beautiful little one. With each picture, I would try to guess what she was feeling, thinking, and imagining. I longed to hold her and not miss one more minute of her life. I had already missed all of her "firsts", and I could hardly keep a reign on my emotions.
The minute she was placed in my arms, my heart seered to hers, and she was forever our daughter. Today, you could never guess that the she was the same scared little girl that she was on that day. She is filled with joy, and she "Loves" bigger than most people ever could love in their lifetime. She is our Mia! God certainly blessed us, and our lives have been Forever Changed!!
We love you Our Precious Baby Girl!!
