For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Happy Birthday Mia

Our precious "princess" girl turns 6 today. How is that possible?! She has been excitedly counting down the days until her birthday. She couldn't wait to be as old as Levi! Mia is just so filled with JOY. We are so blessed to have this precious little girl in our family. It is no secret that she is a performer...she loves life, loves to sing, loves to dance and loves to make people happy. She certainly brightens everyday with her smile and her happiness. Wow, we love that God placed this treasure in our family. She is His and worships Him with her whole being.

Happy Birthday to our precious girl!! We love you!!

Still Here...

We started school last week and I have been intending to post pictures. School, appointments, hosting parties, participating in youth group activities with our teen, and just having fun with all of our kiddos keeps us on our toes. We are just so busy... the schedule has been a bit crazy this whole month and school just started. Oh well, it makes life FUN!!
I promise I will get pictures up soon.
How was the start of school for your kiddos?

Two Years Ago...

...this little boy joined our family in a very unique way. It was truly a God thing! He lights up our life and our family. Mr. Levi  has changed and grown so much. It is a joy to watch him progress in his social, academic and physical development. He loves life, laughs lots, and plays hard. He loves music and singing. He is an avid sports fan and especially loves baseball (we think he is a "natural"). His laughter can fill a room and make everyone join in the joy. He has a smile as "big as Texas". He loves to be near his brothers and sisters, and he is especially close to his big brother and his "twin" Mia. It is fun to watch my youngest kiddos and their "twining"...no they weren't born twins, but God knew they belonged together. Levi fit our family from the start. The joy he brings to our family is sometimes hard to put in words. God certainly blessed us with this beautiful (handsome) boy.

Happy Forever Family Day, Levi! You are God's precious little one and our treasure. We love you!!!

On This Day, We Wed...

Sixteen Years! It still boggles my mind how quickly that sixteen years has passed. Brad and I got married on a hot August day in Ft. Worth Texas. I remember that day vividly. It was hot, hot, hot...nothing like a Texas summer day. We got married at an old Cattle Baron's Mansion, Thistle Hill. It was a beautiful, historic home near the hospital district in Ft Worth. I loved that we were surrounded by our closest family and friends. It was a beautiful ceremony that Brad's Dad officiated for us. Brad sang, "I Cross My Heart" (you know the George Strait song). I remember being a little nervous, very much in love, and trying not to cry, especially during the song...our song. The whole ceremony was so very US! We vowed on that day that God and Jesus would be the center of our marriage, and from that day forward, we would face whatever came our way together. This sixteen years has certainly been filled with great "highs" and some very bad "lows", but we faced them together with God as our guide. I am grateful for the man that God gave me for a husband. He is an amazing, giving, and loving man. I love to watch as he "fathers" our chuldren and sets a godly example for their lives. He is a wonderful provider, protector and my knight in shining armor. I look forward to sharing forever with him... My grandparents shared 68yrs of wedded bliss before my grandmother was called home to be with Jesus. I pray that God will bless our marriage and that we can see almost as many years together.
I Love you Brad! Happy Anniversary!
