Nate now... |
Has it really been 9 years? It seems as if it was just yesterday that this beautiful boy, our third son, was placed in our arms. He was a very happy, snuggly baby, and so easy to take care. He was saving his "challenging" personality for the toddler years. He loved to "get into" things... flushing many things down the toilet (Brad had to rescue nore FP Little People than he cares to count), painting my aunt's upstairs room with the Cadoo game's sculpting dough, throwing tourist pamphlets down a hill at a cabin we were staying in on one particular vacation,... taking life with a vengence and earning him the nick-name "Hurricane Nate". My Aunt still lovingly refers to him as "Picasso" , and interestingly enough, he is an amazing artist. Nate is usually pretty easy going; however, there are a few things that can get his anger up such as the things he senses as an injustice (which is really rare) and food (he is my "picky",more like strange, eater..prefering asparagus to green beans, and crab legs to chicken). Most of the time, I just describe Nate as well... just Nate! He is amazing with his younger siblings and young children. He loves to include all in play, and yet, he can play for hours all alone. He is excelling at school...reading well and blowing mom away with his Math skills. He still loves science, especially science in relation to animals. He is still very much a dog lover, and we kind of have to take a strong stance, or we would own about 100 dogs. He is very kind and loving. His dad and I stand in awe of the amazing young man that he is becoming. God gave us a beautiful gift on this day 9 years ago. Happy Birthday Nathaniel!
