Nolan has been a fan for a long time... he got to "hear" the games while still in my tummy. He is wearing the jersey that I wore to one of the many games that we went to while I was pregnant with him.
Cheering for our Texas Rangers... we kind of missed Texas a lot during all the games.
Our barn sporting the new Logo... the boys did a nice job (they didn't want to "copy" the logo exactly but wanted to show their support).
Two and a half years ago when we moved into this house, Brad and the boys tried to convince me that we needed to repaint the barn. They wanted to paint it with the Texas Rangers logo. I kept resisting and putting them off of that topic. As baseball season began, the "boys" once again brought up the subject of painting the barn. So, I said, "If... the Rangers ever make it to the World Series you can paint the barn." I never expected it would happen. I have been watching the Rangers since I was a teenager, and never once had they even made it close. ... As you all know by now, I lost that bet (maybe I should have said "when they win?!").

OH HAPPY DAY !!!
We are singing praises!! Our Saturday turned into a very joy filled day. Our Nate ( #3 boy) accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. His daddy baptized him at our church with a few friends(whom we consider all to be family) in attendance. Nate's decision has been over a year in the making. He had begun to visit with us about what was on his heart last year. He even thought (deeply) about making the decision back when Mandy was baptized last year. He just wanted to be really sure, and he doesn't take any decision that he makes lightly....this decision most of all. Friday night, we were all crowded into our bedroom (mom was trying to organize fall/winter clothing for the six kiddos). Everyone was "very" loud and boisterous (picture a 3 ring circus here), but Nate was louder..."Mom, I THINK I WANT TO BE BAPTIZED!". "WHAT ?...everyone be quiet! ", I replied. "Mom, I think I want to be baptized." Daddy and Momma sent everyone out of the room (except Nate,of course). We talked with him about what it means to accept Jesus into your heart. Bless his heart, he was so emotional...excited, dedicated, and full of the Lord's love. He was crying and this momma was crying right along with him. After our talk, he wanted to wait before the final decision on when to be baptized. We told him to pray about it and let us know.
Saturday morning dawned. Brad and the boys were out the door early to work on a project ( I'll share that in another post). While they were at work on the project, Nate announced to his dad that he wanted to be baptized "TODAY" (Saturday). We called our pastor, sent messages and made phone calls. We were at the church, and our sweet boy was baptized by that afternoon. He was grinning from ear to ear, and momma and daddy were wiping away our tears. It was beautifully simple and custom made to fit this unique little boy.To make it even more special, he was surrounded by many of those he loves. We are so very grateful for our 6 amazing blessings. Each one learning about and loving Jesus. We are so proud that 4 of our treasures have made this life changing decision, and we pray that our last two will someday make the same. What an amazing day!! Singing Praises!!
Anybody still out there??
I am finding it harder and harder to keep up with my blog. We have lots of happenings, and I am staying busy beyond belief. It is my intention to keep the blog going; however, I don't know if anyone is still out there reading. I would love to hear from you if you still follow along.
