Snow Days...

Unfortunately for our kiddos, they aren't really Snow Days off from school. They would tell you that this is one of the pitfalls of being homeschooled. Actually, it is very nice because we can complete school work while we are toasty warm inside, and then they can go outside for recess and play in the snow...then we have no makeup days into the summer. What else are they going to do when they are bored? No cabin fever around here...
(The snow is from Saturday evening. Over the past two weeks we have been having some not just cold but frigid temperatures. As a result all the precipitation over the past few weeks is hanging around...not much thawing going on over the next few days either...-6 on tomorrow night.)

Mia still is not terribly fond of the snow...she says "It too cowld out thewr!" Little Angels making Snow Angels...

A little snow ball fight never hurt anyone...

Let the "Game" begin... every "snow event" requires the traditional snow football game or games. Then, the best part, hot chocolate and cookies for our "thaw out" snack..."Mom,you forgot that I don't like marshmallows in my Hot Cocoa.""I like momma's sandy cookies the bestest!" "Which do you like,Levi?" Don't ask me... He was having a "serious" discussion with someone while slurpping up his hot cocoa... .
